3D Nipple and Areola Tattoo

The nipple tattoo is applied using a digital tattoo machine consisting of incredibly fine needles that move up and down at speed, penetrating the skin in order to distribute the coloured pigment. The effect is built up using dots, lines, and circular and feathering techniques. Combinations of pigments are used to obtain the perfect colouring.

A topical numbing cream is applied to the nipple area, which means you should only feel a slight vibrating/scratching sensation. This could vary depending on sensitivity levels, but you should never feel more than a mild discomfort.

Angela will conduct a full consultation where the shape and colour are agreed.

The procedure itself usually takes approximately 3 hours depending on your requirements i.e. whether you have a unilateral or bilateral 3D nipple and areola reconstruction.

Time can vary due to many other factors that need to be considered to enable Angela to acheive the best results for you.

You may feel a tightness of the skin and the area could feel sensitive and tender over the initial 48 hours following the procedure. You may also exhibit some redness in the area. These are all part of the healing process.

You will be given full aftercare instructions following your procedure.

After your treatment Angela will supply you with full details of the aftercare instructions, both short term and long term.

Most patients require two initial treatments (the first procedure, then a top up procedure to enhance the pigment, even our any colour if necessary) then, if needed a further follow-up treatment every 2-3 years to maintain the appearance of your nipple area.
