Scalp Micropigmentation

SMP is suitable for both men and women. 40% of women have noticeably thinning hair by the time they reach 40 years of age whilst 50% of men over the age of 50 suffer from some form of hair loss.

Three to four sessions may be required but this will be assessed and discussed with you at the time of your consultation.

The results should last for between 1 and 3 years. You may require a boost to maintain your desired look.

If you are fully or partially bald then it is recommended that you maintain a shaven scalp to keep your scalp looking it’s best.

For those with thinning hair SMP can reduce the contrast of colour between the scalp and the hair so is an excellent option for those with longer hair lengths. This procedure is referred to as a density fill.

There is very little discomfort with this procedure however each individual has their own comfort levels and some are more sensitive than others. We use a topical numbing cream to reduce any discomfort that may be felt.

The procedure can take between 2-6 hours depending on how much work is needed.

Absolutely. SMP is a great option for either the entire area or for any patches that are visible, again this will reduce the contrast between your hair and the skin.
